The UPA has opened the application process for the position of Director of Communications.
The Director of Communications will direct and implement print and web-based systems, tools and strategies designed to implement the UPA’s new mission -- to advance the sport of Ultimate in the United States by enhancing and promoting Character, Community and Competition -- in ways that attract, engage and deepen relationships between the UPA and its members, organizational partners, and other internal and external constituents. The UPA congratulates Gwen Ambler (At Large), Seth Grossinger (Central Region) and John Terry (South Region) on their election, and Henry Thorne (At Large) on his re-election to the UPA Board of Directors for the 2009-2011 term.
The UPA also wishes to acknowledge outgoing Board members Todd Demetriades, Ricky Eikstadt, and Theresa Weber for representing Ultimate players nationwide during their tenure on the Board.

The UPA is excited to announce that it is accepting bids to host the first UPA Grand Masters and Masters Women's Championships in the summer of 2009. The UPA is currently accepting applications for the position of National Mixed Director. The National Mixed Director is responsible for overseeing the Mixed Club Division of the UPA Championship Series and is responsible for competition issues related to the Mixed Division, under the guidance of the Championship Director.
